“When I first saw Mark Wood with his Viper I thought it was the best idea yet. At the time, all the solid body electric violins I had tried were too heavy, and they caused pain in my elbow and shoulders when I played for a long time. As a free-lance player, I have played with many artists of many different styles so pain was a big problem for me. I’ve been playing my two Vipers (a 5 and a 7 string) for nearly two years now, and I am pain-free . . . besides the quality of sound I get, our presence on the stage is definitely an eye catcher.
