“I first met Mark Wood at the Greenwood Music Camp when I was just 15 years old. From that point on, my life changed. Mark came in with a variety of electric violins, his main feature being the viper. As soon as I tried it on, I was hooked. My neck and shoulders began to relax, and all of a sudden I had freedom. The removal of a chinrest as part of the violin is both unique and brilliant giving the player the ability to actually move while playing. Dancing has always been a large part of my life and for the first time I could actually bring that into my playing! The Viper has changed my approach to violin playing and I could not live without it!”
A violinist since the age of four, Sarah Charness captivates audiences with her vivacious performances and the vibrant sound of her trademark hot pink, six-string electric violin. Her unique musical style – the fusion of classical, pop, and electronic dance music – has thrilled fans around the world. She toured North America as a soloist with the Trans‐Siberian Orchestra and has graced the runway in prominent fashion shows – Pronovias, Vera Wang, Neiman Marcus Fashion Night Out, and Elene Cassis during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Sarah continues to perform in top nightclubs around the world collaborating with todays most exciting DJ’s. Sarah has released three singles and is planning to release her first electronic dance music single produced by Glenn Morrison in 2014.
