Thanks everyone!
The violin is actually one of those battery powered things that plays Bach and Mozart when the bow touches the strings and makes a circuit. Pretty cool stuff!

The young lady in the back is my youngest step daughter McKenzie. She has been such a great big little sister to her!

So in 9 weeks of father hood I've discovered somethings....

Babies don't sleep through the night.
Babies have insane lungs. He'll be a singer! LOL

Congratulations! Eventually you'll get some sleep... I'm told it's usually about 2 or 3 years after the baby's born, but you'll get it!!!

that lack of sleep will sooooooo pay off about 6 months old, when they're learning to walk, and talk......
and "use" cell phones. and laptops....

Congratulations!! That's awesome news. Being a dad is really the best thing ever. However, don't be fooled by the sleep will come at age 2 comment! You will start to get some sleep again around 4-5 months when he sleeps through the night. 5-6 hours will seem like the most luxury you have ever experienced. Enjoy that, b/c when they start moving around, the lack of sleep starts to catch up with you , as you'll be exhausted from the chase! Then the talking starts and you will never experience quiet again :). My little girl sings non stop from morning till night. It's awesome. I wouldn't change it for anything in the world..... not even sleep. I'll sleep when I'm dead. There is waaay too much to experience now. Enjoy every minute dude. It really does go fast. i know that is such a cliche, but it's true.

Both my stepdaughters sing non stop. My youngest, the 4 year old, makes life a song. And she hits every single note. Its amazing. She has a natural talent for the major scale.
My oldest stepdaughter tries so hard. she sings, and sings, and sings, but she just can't hear the notes she is singing. She lives for her falcetto range instead of her normal voice range. When she sings "Paralyzed" she nails every note. But then comes "Over the Rainbow". Oh, poor girl, even the dog runs out of the room. :(
Now, you would think me a music teacher and her mom an American Idol participant, between the two of us we could teacher her some singing skills.....

We try....
and try....
and try.....
and try.....

Perhaps one day it will all click. That happened to me on violin so....

Khale is finally starting to find relief from his colic. Two nights ago, I taught him the game peekaboo. Well, I don't think he really understood that I didn't really disappear, but boy what a smile I got when I pulled my hands away from my face!

And last weekend, just to really show how much he's my son, the only way we could get him to stop crying was to put drag racing on for him!
