Crazy noises

Hi all

I wonder if anyone knows some special (strange) Metal or Rock sound effects/playing techniques ...
for example Dragonforce put some crazy noises in their songs, called like "pacman" or "Dive bomb". Whenever I see effects like this , I try to translate it to Violin and create new sounds.
If anyone has some ideas for me...please tell me...would be great to learn something new =)

Try a Digitech whammy pedal - that's how they get a lot of their video game sounds

I have got a boss ME-50 pedal... I get some sounds close to hermans sound used in this video ...i sat hours in my room to programm this effect^^

what effects do you use?

On my standart setup I have a Acoustic, Drive with delay and reverb and that that overdrive effect herman uses for some rhythm and solo parts.

do you ave any advice for me how to enhanche that setup?

Well, wah-wah pedals are always fun!

Besides my Digitech whammy, I have the Wood Wah, Fulltone Bass Drive, Hartke Bass Attack and Coffin Case Blood Drive. I get acoustic sounds solely through the Bass Attack and my amp - I got an amp that's clean and pure so my options would be wide open.
